A state of emergency is in effect in the Czech Republic

Under the declared state of emergency, the government has prohibited all international passenger road transport providers from carrying passengers across the borders of the Czech Republic. The borders of the Czech Republic are closed.

Cargo transport is permitted at designated border crossings. A list of currently open border crossings can be found here: https://www.mvcr.cz/docDetail.aspx?docid=22240339&doctype=ART

Drivers of trucks with a load capacity of up to 3.5 tonnes may cross the border provided they can demonstrate:

  • That the vehicle in question falls under category N (document: certificate of roadworthiness)
  • That transportation is being conducted in relation to the business activities of the given transport provider (document: cargo documentation, invoice or order)
  • A relation exists between the driver and the corresponding transport provider (document: work contract, employer confirmation)

Before you commence your trip, be informed about the open border crossings, and if applicable, the corresponding border crossing waiting times (www.dopravniinfo.cz). Keep all your necessary vehicle, cargo and driver documents in order.

Thank you for helping us keep Czech roads open. We are all in this together.
