A new compulsory document which must be kept in vehicles

As of 1 July, all drivers of EU member countries must keep an employment contract in their vehicle, including a translation into Czech.

“Foreign carriers are obliged to ensure that drivers keep records of driving times, safety breaks and rest periods and that they observe their specified driving times, safety breaks and rest periods. Foreign carriers are also obliged to ensure that documents are kept in vehicles while operated in accordance with Section 3 (3) and Section 9 (1) a), and that if this concerns a foreign carrier based in a different European Union member country, copies of documents proving the existence of an employment relationship with the driver, including translation of such documents into Czech, are kept in the vehicle.”
