Alcohol in the blood? Not in the Czech Republic!
Do you think it is possible that a truck driver got behind the wheel with a 0.308 BAC in his blood? Unfortunately yes. But you should never do that. A Polish driver who refreshed himself in this manner was punished with a 5-year ban on driving and was also expelled from the Czech Republic for 5 years.
When driving his truck from the Kudow – Zdrój, Poland, to Brno, Czech Republic, he lost control and drove in the opposite direction and struck the rear-view mirrors and side of another truck that was coming towards him. But even this collision did not prevent him from continuing with his journey. However, a short time after that, he and his truck ended up in a ditch. Fortunately, nobody was hurt in the accident. Material damages amounted to 155 thousand Czech crowns. The driver was forced to surrender his driving license, and he himself ended up in a drunk tank. He will not be permitted to drive in the Czech Republic for a long time.
There is a zero-alcohol tolerance behind the wheel in the Czech Republic!
