Respect traffic signs and concentrate on the road

Traffic was complicated between Vizovice and Valašská Polanka in May 2020 by a lorry, the driver of which failed to respect a no entry sign and drove into a ditch. The road was closed for seven hours.

The lorry was driving along the I/49 road, missed a no entry sign for vehicles weighing more than 7.5 tons and drove onto a narrow section of road where roadwork was underway. The driver, a foreigner, was also evidently not paying attention to the road and drove his articulated trailer onto the hard shoulder and subsequently into the ditch where he got stuck. This blocked the whole width of the road. The police fined the driver.

Traffic signs are important and are not placed there at random. Respect any restrictions which may be marked to avoid a fine and possible damage to your vehicle and cargo.
