Winter Equipment Already from 1 November

The “Zimní výbava” (Winter Equipment) and “Zimní výbava-konec” (Winter Equipment – End)” road signs identify road sections on which category M and N vehicles must be equipped with winter tyres under all weather conditions, i.e. not only when there is an unbroken layer of snow, ice or frost on the road. This obligation applies from 1 November to 31 March. If you violate the stated obligation, you may be punished with a fine from CZK 1,500 to CZK 2,500.
