Driving in narrow lanes

Due to the current wave of ongoing repair work on Czech motorways and in particular the D1 motorway, it is possible that you may encounter several places where the lanes have been temporarily narrowed. Lorry drivers are warned not to drive into the narrow lanes because these often lanes have parameters which are not suitable for use by large vehicles.

We draw your attention to the dangers of driving in narrow lanes after the driver of a Polish truck tried to make a similar manoeuvre. In an attempt to overtake his colleague, he drove into the narrow lane. In the end, he gave up on his attempt because he lost a side mirror during this daring stunt.

Do not attempt to overtake in a place where such a manoeuvre could be dangerous. Take care of yourself and others.
